A
snow leopard in the Lincoln Park Zoo in
Chicago, Ill. I was struck by the way he was keeping his eye on me, but was
resting his forehead on the cage bar. Tired, or just fed up?
The photo was taken in October of 1981 with a Ricoh
Singlex TLS 35 mm SLR equipped with a 55 mm f/1.7 Prinz Auto Rexatar lens
on Kodak Tri-X Pan film. The negative was enlarged optically with a
Prinz 35 enlarger and a 50 mm f/3.5 Vivitar-LU lens on Kodak Elite Fine Art
Double Weight Fiber Base silver gelatin photo
paper. Processing was done using Kodak chemistry.
