Zigzag Bridge

The Zigzag Bridge between the two islands of the Malott Japanese Garden at the Chicago Botanic Gardens in Glencoe, Illinois. Evil spirits must travel in a straight line, so can not follow you over this bridge. The photo was taken in September of 1982 with a Ricoh Singlex TLS 35 mm SLR equipped with a 55 mm f/1.7 Prinz Auto Rexatar lens on Kodak Plus-X Pan film. The negative was enlarged optically with a Beseler 23CIIXL enlarger and a 50 mm f/2.8 Rodenstock Rodagon lens on Ilford Ilfobrom Double Weight Fiber Base silver gelatin photo paper. Processing was done using Kodak chemistry.

All aspects of this print were handled in an authentic, pre-digital manner. Archival processing will ensure the maximum life span for this print.
