An Emerald Isle Experience: A Visit for Vacation
For a finish, we will take a brief look at the
aquatic non-beach side of the island, in a movement I will call “Water”.
This includes Bogue Banks Island, the sound, & the city of Beaufort. It
is easy to focus, perhaps exclusively, in Emerald Isle on the ocean
beach. As beach life is to me not overwhelmingly exciting, I have
endeavored to cover some areas a little more likely to go unnoticed. The
fresh water side, if you pause to examine it, is important to many.
Boating, fishing, water sports etc. We will give them a bit of their
due.
We have of course a few of the obligatory pier
shots. Attractions on the water amuse the young ones. A few views on the
water side, and a bridge to the mainland, will end this essay.
